For over 30 years Wearing Driving Academy, LLC has been helping people transform their daily driving experiences.

We provide a full spectrum of services from Driver Education, Behind the Wheel Training, DMV Drive Test Services, and Traffic School.

Our highly trained staff will empower you to become a safe driver for life.

At the end of every session, you and I will sit down together and go over
what happened in the session highlighting what you did right and what areas you need to practice more.

If I feel you are ready for the next step, I will encourage you to go ahead, but if you feel you need more time and practice, that can be arranged.

After showing you how to sit in your seat and familiarizing you with the controls and the dashboard,

we begin by practicing in your sub division with basic skills like driving forward, turning, braking, reversing and scanning the road for potential problems.

Once you get familiar with this we can proceed further and take you out on a quiet rural road.

We slowly move into more and more traffic. Finally, I get you used to getting on and off the Beltline
and highways merging, exiting, changing lanes and overtaking safely.

Teen Sessions and Packages

Our goal is to safely teach and train a new generation of drivers one student at a time how to travel the highways, safely and to avoid collisions. We will teach the students how to avoid bad driving habits that lead to many preventable collisions. They will learn how to spot and react to potential hazards. We can be better drivers if we follow the rules, regulations and guidelines set by the DMV. Therefore, our job is to teach the students to always put safety first. By doing these and many more safety tips like it, will change a generation of drivers, and make the highways, roads, and interstates a safer place for all of us.

1. Complete Driver Education Package - $795.00

2. Partial package tuition - $495.00 (Behind-The-Wheel Only)
This is for teenagers that have completed the classroom requirement at another school.

Teen Driving Training Course: The teen course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction teaching key topics such as North Carolina laws, basic car control, defensive driving, alcohol awareness, speeding, adverse conditions, handling emergencies, accidents, insurance, and seatbelt use. Classroom participation is encouraged through classroom activities, lectures, and movies. Behind-the-wheel includes 6 hours of or the road driving instruction.

Behind-The-Wheel

(includes 6 hours of driving instruction)

This driver’s education session is for 14 1/2 to 17 years old without a permit. Tuition is due in full on the first day of your lesson. Tuition will be collected by the school manager or your driver instructor. Monday order, cashier check and cash are accepted. Personal checks and American Express are not excepted. If paying by credit card add 3%. Call or email to schedule your appointment. 30 hours of classroom must be completed before behind the wheel can be started. All our instructions are licensed and certified by the NC Dept. of Motor Vehicle.

Summer Sessions

• Monday-Friday - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

• Sunday - 7:00 am - 11:00 am


Winter Sessions

• Monday-Friday - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Saturday - 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Sunday - 7:00 am - 11:00 am

Driving lesson may take up to 1-3 weeks to be scheduled, after the classroom has been completed. Classes maybe in person or online.

If additional instruction of service is provided after the conclusion of the course described herein is completed, the fee will be:
a. Additional classroom instruction: $95.00 per lesson (3 hours).
b. Additional behind-the-wheel instruction: $75.00 per lesson (2 hours minimum).
c. Use of school vehicle for state DMV road test: $125 per lesson.

Adult Packages

Whether you're an adult learning to drive for the first time or an experienced driver trying to improve your driving skills, our course is perfect for you. Our adult drivers education course teaches you the knowledge you need to pass the written license-renewal test and maintain or earn a drivers license. We pinpoint what you need to study to be a better adult driver and pass your written test.

We offer 3 driving packages for 18 and older for Behind-The-Wheel only:
1. One day 2 hours packages tuition - $195.00
2. Three days 6 hours packages tuition - $495.00
3. Five days 10 hours package tuition - $820.00
2. Seven days 14 hours packages tuition - $1,050.00

Each lesson will be 2 hours in either package. Tuition is due in full on the first day of the lesson. You instructor will collect the tuition. Your payment must be by money order, cashier check, or cash. Personal checks and American Express are not excepted. If using a credit card add 3%. Adults 18 or older must have a NC Learners Permit.

Classroom

1. Unlicensed – minimum 6 hours Tuition is - $80.00.
2. Behind- the – Wheel minimum 6 hours.
3. Students with a Valid Learner Permits may contract for all, or a portion of the classroom and behind – the – wheel instruction.

There is a $40.00 administrative fee for all approved refunds. There will be a $30.00 fee for all returned checks.

Missed Behind – the – Wheel appointment, the student will be charged $25.00 unless the School is given at least 24 hours’ notice. We appreciate your business. To schedule an appointment, please call or email us. Please include your age, city, and your tuition package.
